Personal profile

An ambitious self-starter with good communication skills built up through a wide range of experience gained during studies, work and travelling. I’m devoted to my work and a real people person with a warm, outgoing personality.

I enjoy working in a busy and demanding environment and I’m adaptable though goal orientated with the ability to advise and persuade. Enjoys working in a team as well as individual. And last but not least, I am confident in my ability to adapt to the challenges of a new work environment.

Research how to improve communications about employment prospects of DUT alumni to students. Based on this research I prepared a written advisory guide for all external communication mediums.

My daily tasks included managing the Dean’s schedule, arranging appointments, preparing meetings, providing business correspondence, archiving, maintaining business relations and preparing business trips. Assisting Hr-manager with daily work, such as arranging interviews and preparing meetings.

Researcher, Housing corporation Com•wonen

Perform research and writing the evaluation and process report on the implementation of new EU property law.

Assistant Manager (Volunteer), “Rhotia Valley Children’s Home & Tented Lodge” (Tanzania, Africa)

Responsible for daily management of the lodge and 28 employees. This role involved booking and receiving guests and public relations activities in the Netherlands and Tanzania. Also written the copy for the website.

Extra-curricular and voluntary

Communication Adviser, Think Tank, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of Water and Sanitation

Participant in a workshop focused on identifying ways to resolve sanitation problems in Kenyan slums.

Editor “Owee Krant”, Delft University of Technology (DUT)

Editor of daily DUT ‘Freshers Week’ newspaper aimed at introducing new students to Delft. The role involved sourcing stories, conducting interviews, writing and editing articles.

Public Relations Officer, Fundraiser for Field Hockey club Hudito

Primary fundraiser to collect €25K for a new semi-water hockey field. I was responsible for planning and implementing group fundraising activities. We managed to raise more than €30K.
